The overall consensus of the survey is as follows:

The amount of stress (1-10) slightly decreased this year opposed to other years. The homework free night right before the mid terms was very helpful in terms of reducing stress and increasing productivity. Teachers either stayed the same or gave a smaller work load to students during the mid term week and became more lenient on students. 55% of students thought that they had a good amount of time to study while the other 45% split between having more then enough time, less then enough time, and no time to study. All the test scheduling problems were easily resolved.

the G.O.

This year, we are doing something different in regard to rechartering.  On Wednesday February 1st, there will be a GA (General Assembly) Meeting  in room 206.  

In order to charter, existing clubs will have to add their name, position in club, and club on a sign-up sheet during the meeting.  For new clubs, a club charter is still required (which can be found in the forms menu to the right).

All club charters will be due on Wednesday February 1st (whether new or preexisting).

In this meeting, we will cover PTA grants, which will be due on February 8th, one week following the meeting (The PTA grant form can also be found in the forms menu on the right).  We will also introduce the discussion of Carnival Booths!

Search Committee for Principal:

-20-30 all grades (4 to 5 students per grades)

-a little slant towards older students

-draw upon: Big Sibs, Pear Leadership, Bias Panel, Senators, Board Members, AA,  Term Council

–show how diverse and independent students we are and to represent the student make up

-send messages to the presidents of term council to tell about the committee

-chairs in a u-shape of 20-30 students, would ask candidate for an opening statement

-students (probably represented by Emma Almon) will have a statement prepared representing the students

-all would introduce themselves — explain their name, grade, and involvement in the school

-would create a set list of questions for all of the candidates (because it has to be the same for each candidate)
